More Exciting News About ‘World of Color’

I need your help on this one, Disney Parks Blog readers. Can you play the sound of a “drum roll” in your head? Great! You’ve set the tone for our big news: “World of Color” was just named the Best New Theme Park Show of 2010, in the About.com 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Thank you to all the fans who voted for “World of Color” – the nighttime water spectacular at Disney California Adventure park. It’s not easy to capture this massive show in words, and I like how About.com describes it: “Dazzling lights, soaring fountains, and stirring animated scenes from Disney and Pixar animated films combine to form a stunning tapestry of color and spectacle…”

More than 2 million guests have seen “World of Color” since it debuted and their experiences are creating lasting memories. Here’s what one reader on the Disney Parks Blog said about his favorite memory from the experience.

Joey from California: “The most exciting time viewing ‘World of Color’ was when I took my little nephews James (6) and Gavin (3). We had a ‘World of Color’ dining package at Ariel’s Grotto, so we had FASTPASSES for the Preferred Dining Section in Paradise Park. The little ones were extremely excited! … Once the show got to a start, all I heard was ‘Wow!’ ‘Cool!’ and ‘Awesome!’”
