Hotels-live.com - Little-known fact about me - I could eat seafood all day everyday, so I was eager to try the local crayfish up in Kaikoura since it's a local speciality. (Also what's the difference between lobster and crayfish?) Served up with lemon and garlic butter, I am happy to report that it was delicious, definitely on par with lobster back home. What I am NOT happy to report was that half a crayfish was $55! Not even the whole specimen! What the actual fuck New Zealand? Are crayfish endangered species here? I don't understand how crayfish bought in the town where it's fished from can cost over $100?! Someone please enlighten me.
