Brian Keaulana, truly one of the great watermen on this planet runs with a 40 pound boulder across the ocean floor training his breath holding ability for big wave surfing and lifeguard rescues. The Keaulana's have been teaching ocean skills, training and inspiring in Hawaii and around the world for decades. They themselves and their graduates of the lifeguard program are responsible for tens of thousands of rescues. With all of that talent they are also humble, kind and generous. We could have not survived our National Geographic #assignment on the Hawaiian culture without the guidance of Brian and the entire #Makaha ohana.
