Hotels-live.com - *The Wild Namibian Desert at Night* I was out last night at midnight on the edge of a Fish River canyon where these incredible trees grow. They are hollow and spongey inside... and called "Quiver Trees." I got under this one and the Milky Way... I was happy there were no snakes or other creepy-crawlies to go up my legs... I get the feeling that anything here in Africa can kill you! This morning in the same desert I saw a oryx, an ostrich, a springbok, and a kudu. Wow! I feel like I'm taking photographs out in the middle of the zoo! (P.S. you might notice I have only been posting to FB photos from Africa because I can't get G+ to upload at all... slow internet does not seem like G+'s friend.
