It brings me so much joy.” Jamie is the world’s top female slopestyle rider and the sport’s first female Olympic gold medalist. This week, Jamie will be navigating the obstacle course of jumps, rails and wallrides at X Games Aspen (@xgames) in Aspen, Colorado, for a chance to claim her 10th medal there since starting on the professional circuit at the age of 13. “It’s one of the biggest competitions of the year, so there’s definitely pressure,” says Jamie. But if there’s something she’s learned during her decade as a pro snowboarder, it’s overcoming the challenge of self-doubt. “It’s hard to set big goals because it’s scary to fail. But it’s amazing how powerful our minds are.
