Hotels-live.com - From the snow-covered region of Hokkaido to the southern islands of Okinawa, hundreds of Instagrammers from all 47 prefectures of Japan are going out with their phones and cameras this month to celebrate the kickoff of a nationwide InstaMeet project called #MeetMeJapan. Announced last month by some of Japan’s most passionate members of the community, the project invites users across the country to organize InstaMeets in locations of Japan they love to capture, and share those places with the rest of the community. On Wednesday, Masayuki Nishikawa (@tosa_nishikawa), from the southern countryside of Kagawa prefecture hosted an InstaMeet in Ogijima, a tiny island located in the Seto Inland Sea. “As many of the islands of Seto are currently facing depopulation, I am hosting this InstaMeet with hopes of telling the beauty of the islands and inspiring more people to visit them.” For more photos and videos from the InstaMeets happening in Japan this month, browse the #MeetMeJapan hashtag.
