Hotels-live.com - “If there’s one thing I’ve always tried to do with my sports photography, it is to show the human side of sports,” says Rod Mar (@rodmarphoto), an official team photographer for the defending #SuperBowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks. “When you look at a football player they almost look robotic in their pads, helmets, gloves and high tech cleats. So when you can peel that back and show that these are men chasing their passion, fulfilling their dreams, and making a living in the most competitive of atmospheres, then as a photographer you want to find the parts that make them human.” For twenty-four seasons, Rod has photographed the Seahawks—first as an intern, then for the newspaper, and now for the team. “My goal is to make one great picture everyday,” he says. “Everything that I do comes from that approach. I’m not the guy that’s going out there to run and hit and tackle.
