It is encircled by the Dove Lake Circuit, one of Tasmania's premier short walks, which takes you all the way around the lake and beneath the spires of the towering Cradle Mountain. Some of the highlights along the 6km walk include this view from Glacier Rock, the mossy trails of the Ballroom Forest and the often photographed Boatshed, which was built in 1940 by the first ranger at Cradle Mountain.
