The system is resulting in torrential downpours and flooding along the Florida #GulfCoast, with many spots from Tampa northward receiving 10”+ of rainfall within the last 7 days, as displayed in the @noaa observed precipitation chart above. The good news is that the Gulf Coast is continuing to see some fun, albeit windy/rainy, waves and the significant wave height on the 42098 buoy is currently around 4.9’ @ 7s. Compare that to the 41009 off the East Coast of Florida, which is only 1.9’ @ 6s.
