Our morning was spent in the Patan neighborhood of Kathmandu, which carries a certain peace and simplicity to it. Though the streets are filled with buzzing motorbikes and busy vendors, nothing here feels tense or urgent. A few scars remain from this year's earthquakes (including an empty spot here and there where temples once stood), but the majority of landmarks and temples remain in tact, and in all, the city feels alive and ready to be explored. Which is exactly what I plan to do. For the next ten days I will be exploring Nepal with the good people at @greathimalayatrails so stay tuned for more!
