Photo by @renan_ozturk // Gasping to keep up with Mingma Sherpa in the high Himalaya. Sherpas (with a capital S) are an ethnicity of people who live in Nepal in the Khumbu / Mt Everest region. They are known for there work as 'sherpa' (with a lower case s) which are high altitude climbing guides, work they have done since the first ascent of Everest. Although most Sherpas don't really have much interest in climbing it's good to see some starting to do first ascents on their home turf, beyond just working on Everest.
