Photo by Corey Rich (@coreyrichproductions): Alex Honnold (@alexhonnold) doesn’t always climb without a rope … but when he does, it’s in the perfect, golden, desert sunset light. Joshua Tree National Park was one of the original free-soloing stomping grounds for the Stonemasters of the 1970s, and as much as it terrifies me, it’s good to see that this wild spirit for climbing free is still carried on by today’s best climbers.
