#LonelyPlanet writer, @wiwowowusli, has recently been on assignment in #Budapest, #Hungary, where he snapped this lovely sunset over the Danube River. In the middle of the frame is the Elizabeth Bridge, a gleaming white (though rather generic-looking) suspension bridge dating from 1964. It enjoys a special place in the hearts of many Budapesters, as it was the first newly designed bridge to reopen after WWII (the original span, erected in 1903, was too badly damaged in the war to rebuild). Boasting a higher arch than the other bridges spanning the Danube, it offers dramatic views of both Castle and Gellért Hills and, of course, the river. #travel Hotels-live.com via www.instagram.com/p/BFdYKBUqTZe/ by www.facebook.com/125048940862168/photos/a.935815429785511... via http://flic.kr/p/HcYYQn #link https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7133/27046226405_96468929e4.jpg
