Icelandic cuisine has come a loooong way since the 80s when beer was prohibited and many meals came out of a tin. The country's bankrupcy is 2009 meant they were forced to use their own natural resources, and the result is phenomenal. There are many Nordic influences with experimental chefs cooking up a feast around Reykjavík Harbour, plus fresh fish all year round.
